Stephen L. Wnuk, 62, of Remsen passed way on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Wynn Hospital after a long illness.

He was born on July 16, 1962, in Utica, the only son of the late Walter and Nancy Pruner Wnuk. He grew up in the Whitesboro/Westmoreland area and was educated in Westmoreland Schools.

Steve worked on Fedor farms until his mid-twenties. He was then employed as a Maintenance Technician for Carl's Drugs, Fay's Drugs, and Victory Markets/Great American for many years. He eventually changed careers and worked for Waste Management as a driver and welder until his retirement.

Steve enjoyed remodeling homes, building things out of wood in his "workshop", riding his motorcycle for charities, and watching his favorite TV shows Ice Road Truckers, Monster Jam, Professional Bull Riding, and Orange County Choppers.

Steve is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Ashley (Anthony) Wnuk-Frank, Allison Wnuk (and long-time companion AJ). He is also survived by Wanda Wnuk (the mother of his daughters), Cindy Wnuk (his loving sister), Isabell Seelman (his mother-in-law whom he adored and called "The Old Lady"), Richard Seelman, Jr (his brother-in-law and greatest friend), Sharon Macknair (his forever loving aunt), Melanie Mulligan (whom he loved like a daughter), and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Nancy; father-in-law (whom he loved as his own father) Richard J. Seelman, Sr.; special uncle's Alexander Wnuk, Phil Wnuk, and Christopher Macknair; special aunt's Jean Gross and Rosemary Warren; and beloved infant niece, Amy.

Special thanks to The Grand in Utica, NY for the care and compassion shown during his stay. Also, a special thanks to Wynn Hospital's ICU staff and Palliative Care staff for the love, compassion, care, and respect given.

Per Steve's wishes, no traditional viewing/funeral services will be held. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Crown Hill Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.

Please consider donations in Steve's memory to Anita's Stevens Swan Humane Society or your local humane society.
