Patricia R. Carnicelli, 84, a longtime resident of Mitchell Rd in Holland Patent, died Sunday, August 25, 2024 at The Grand Nursing Home in Rome.
She was born January 29, 1940 in Oil City, PA, a daughter of Robert and Helen Messer Rogers. She graduated from Oil City High School and Cazenovia College, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College. Mrs. Carnicelli worked as a physical therapist, retiring from Trinity Consulting Services in 2004. She was a very active member of Friendship Baptist Church in Rome. Pat enjoyed tennis, ping-pong, and walking.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly P. and Ernest Scribner of Remsen; four grandchildren, Karis Rivera and her husband Israel of Holland Patent, Chloe Dow of Syracuse, Megan Dow of Barneveld, and Jeremy Carnicelli of Apple Valley, MN; and two great-grandchildren, Naomi Rivera and Cooper Carnicelli. She also leaves a brother and sister-in-law, Samuel B. and Susan Rogers of Wimauma, FL, three nieces, and one nephew. Mrs. Carnicelli is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Melissa Taphorn, and was predeceased by her son, Kenneth Carnicelli. Of special note, Pat also leaves her longtime friend, Bill Gamett of Rome.
Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at Friendship Baptist Church, 4964 Rome-New London Rd, Rome, on Saturday, August 31 at 11am, which will be followed by a luncheon at the church. Calling hours will be Saturday from 10 to 11am, prior to the service. Burial will be in Holland Patent Cemetery. Friends may consider a donation to Friendship Baptist Church in her memory.
