Obituary

Milik Ricky Burnett, 25, of New Hartford, died on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare.

He was born on October 2, 1997, in New Hartford, to his biological mother, Angel Robinson and was raised four days after birth by his parents Bobbie Burnett and the late Walter Burnett, Sr. He was educated and graduated from New Hartford High School. He married, Jenna Thompson on October 4, 2020. Ricky had various jobs and most recently worked at UCP and Georgio's Village Café in New Hartford.

With his free time, he loved working with computers, cooking, listening to music and being around family especially the young kids in the family.
He is survived by his wife, Jenna Burnett; two step children, Addison and David mother, Bobbie Burnett; siblings, Quinton, Walter Jr., Katherine, Andrew, Wun, Emerald, Yusef, Jude, Joshua, Malachi, Natural, Diamond, Jessica, Ashley, Briana, William and Elizabeth. Ricky loved all his many nieces and nephews the bonds and memories with Mia, Missy (2 times), Destiny and especially Jamal will be held close to their hearts! Special family acknowledgement to the host of family out of the area who also loved Ricky. Predeceased by his adopted grandmother, Lula Watson aka Big Momma and his adopted uncle and aunt Joe & Lula Winn.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 12:30-2:30 at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
