Obituary

Mary Giegerich of Whitesboro N.Y. and formerly of Massapequa Park N.Y. died October 10, 2024, at the age of 94 after a brief illness.

She was born on December 19, 1929 in Queens N.Y., the daughter of Salvatore and Emily Cicione, who were immigrants from Calabria Italy. She married Edmund Giegerich, Jr. in Queens N.Y. in 1950. She was a devoted wife and mother of four children who later was employed as a clerk after her children were grown.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Ed and daughter Phyllis. She is survived by her three sons, Edmund, Paul, and Ronald, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and her sister Emma Marini.

She will be interred with her husband in Pinelawn National Cemetery Long Island. Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services.
