Obituary

Lois A. Hastings, 99, of Pounder Hall in Oriskany, died on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at her daughter’s home.

She is survived by her son, Forest Thomas Hastings and his wife, Maryanne, of New Hartford; daughters, Debborah Malakie of Rome and Kelley J. Hastings of New Hartford; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Martha Stockton; two brothers, William and Kenneth Stockton; sister, Martha Stockton Walsh and son in law, Dougals Malakie.

Following Lois’ wishes, no calling hours and a graveside service will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Glenside Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
