Obituary

Keith Patrick Horan, 71, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, in Utica, NY. Born on November 9, 1953 in Tachikawa, Japan. Keith lived a life marked by his outgoing, adventurous spirit and love for his family.

Keith proudly served in the US Air Force for 20 years, dedicating two decades to his country with unwavering commitment. After his military service, he transitioned to a successful career as an auto mechanic, a role in which he excelled and found great satisfaction.

He was a graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School and carried the lessons learned there throughout his life. Keith's hobbies included camping, skiing, waterskiing, and spending precious moments with his family, activities that reflected his love for adventure and his family.

Keith is survived by his daughter Nicole Horan; son Patrick Horan (Susan); granddaughters, with whom he cherished every moment he spent with - Elizabeth Horan, Atalee and Zoie Horan; brothers Geoff Horan (Donna) and Alan Horan. Sharon Horan; Rebecca Babin (Royal); and grandsons Zakary Babin, Brandon Vaughn, and Collin Vaughn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Gloria Horan, brother, Robert Horan and his son, Christopher Horan.

A military memorial service is being planned for the spring of 2025 in Saratoga NY, honoring Keith's dedication and service. His life and legacy will be remembered by those who knew him as a man who embraced life fully, loved his family deeply, and served his country with honor.
