In Memory of Joan M. Rotach

Obituary

Joan M. Rotach, 86, of Barneveld, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born on February 3, 1936, in Utica, daughter of the late Henry and Ada Lawrence Golden. She married Duane David Rotach, Sr. in May 1957, and he passed away in November 2017.

Joan was a member of the Riverside Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Deerfield.

In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Her true love was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Duane Rotach Jr. and his wife Debra, of Rome; Julie Begnoche and her husband Peter, of Rome; grandchildren, Jillian Urrutia and her husband Tony, Tyler Rotach, Marcus Rotach, Tiffany Rotach, Garett Begnoche and his wife Jaclyn, Taylor Gregory and her husband Robert, Collin Begnoche and Cooper Begnoche; two great-grandchildren, Elena and Antonio Urrutia. She was predeceased by her son Aaron Rotach in 1976 and her eight siblings.

The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to all the family and friends who helped and cared for Joan. They would also like to thank Hospice for their support.

The funeral will be on Saturday, January 28, at 1:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 585 Trenton Rd. Deerfield. Arrangements are with the Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, Utica.
