In Memory of Howard L. West

Obituary

On January 1, 2025, Howard Lewis West was welcomed into the arms of Jesus Christ after living a wonderful life.

He was brought to life on November 27, 1929 and lived in several places during his life. In April of 1952 he married Kay McLoughlin with whom eight children were born.

He had worked at many places and was a very talented builder. His last place of employment was Clinton Central School.

He was a veteran having served in both the US Navy and US Army.

On May 19, 2018, he married the former Jeanne Cole Roberts. Her family quickly welcomed him. Jeff Cole, his step-son thought of him as a father and was wonderful in taking care of him. When Jeanne or Jeff could no longer care for him he went to the Lutheran Nursing Home in Clinton, where he was very well cared for and made him very comfortable for his last days.

Howard had a smile that would melt an iceberg. He and Jeanne went on many trips and cruises.

Calling hours are on Wednesday from 2-4 at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services. 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford. A funeral service will follow at 4 PM. Interment will be in Deansboro Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
