Dr. Wilcox was kind enough to school our group Mohawk Valley Pharmacists Society on 2 occasions. As an infection specialist he brought very valuable insight to our group especially since we deal in infections at the patient/pharmacist level in our communities. This was in the '70s or '80s's at a time when HIV/AIDS was beginning to kill many of our long-time patients in that mysterious frightinig manner so characteristic of its MOA. His knowledge of the entire field s of virology and immunology was impressive and filled us with much knowledge to carry back to our patients at every corner of our Central New York. He delivered in a manner understandable to us as the AIDS epidemic was a new entity to practicing community pharmacists and our society as a whole. His presentations were greatly appreciated by all attending. RIP Dr. Wilcox.
