My deepest condolences to Ernie and his family. I will truly miss seeing your smiling face at Utica coffee with Joe and your crew. You always asked how I was doing, no matter what, over the years. You always asked about my family and I will miss the handshake and a hug for sure

My deepest condolences. Ernie you will be missed my friend.

To the Wrate family,
I am sorry to hear about Ernie's passing. I fondly remember him coming into the supermarket, selling Coca Cola products and being friendly seemingly to everyone.

It was so sad to hear of the passing of Ernie. Ernie was a true gentleman and kind hearted person. Although it has been many years since I have seen him, my memories of being in his presence still remain vibrant. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. I am sure he will be missed by his family and friends. Rest in Peace, my friend!

I had the honor of meeting Dennis ( Ernie) years ago at The Knights of Columbus playing basketball with him. He was a true gentleman on and off the court. Meeting him for coffee with our coffee club was always a robust discussion about our New York Mets hoping for a winning season and finally our Mets had a good year in 2024. To Dennis family please accept my deepest condolences and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you".

My condolences to Wrate family. Grew up on Jeanette Drive one street over from Deland Drive and have many wonderful, heart warming memories with Greg, Dennis & Kevin. We were the original Sandlot kids playing baseball in Baker’s Field with an abundance of boys in the neighborhood all summer long. I remember when we named Dennis “Ernie” and was forever Ernie!
We were blessed to have the opportunity to know him when we were all young men.
May his family find comfort and may Dennis rest in peace.
