Dah Yoh Chet, was born on January 1, 1948, in the village of La Baw, Burma. His father’s name was Sway Chet and his mother’s name was Ban Sein.

He has 6 siblings and he was the youngest in his family. He was married to Brow Mi Chet in 1967 and had 8 children. Dah Yoh Chet worked as a farmer. He was also someone who adored serving at church. In 1996, he moved to the border for him to be able to provide for his family, Dah Yoh Chet did gardening. He also served at Bay The Nee (Bethany) church as a choir leader. He was a person who enjoyed singing in the choir. In 2006, he was able to come to the United States because of a blessing from God. In 2013, Rev. Daniel San called him back to Tabernacle Baptist Church to serve as a choir leader.

On September 18 2024, he went to the hospital to get tested and found out that he had a brain tumor. Because of his sickness, on November 9, 2024, only in a couple weeks did our lord father call him from above and took away all his pain and worries.

"The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away, May the name of the Lord be praised."

The funeral will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 1123 Court St., Utica. Interment will be on Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the funeral.
