To the entire Schmitt family ,
I am sorry for the loss of your husband / father. I enjoyed the conversations we had the last several years about Zion Lutheran Church's youth group as well as officiating local football games. I am sorry I couldn't make the funeral. May Carl rest in peace !

I will surely miss our post Syracuse B ball and Football discussions. We had good times in Ft. Myers and Myrtle Beach. Ellen and I have heavy hearts over your passing. RIP my dear friend.

So sorry to learn about Carl's passing. I really enjoyed many conversations at Zion Lutheran Church while I was there. What a wonderful man Carl was. Please know I am keeping you in my prayers for comfort and strength during this difficult time. I wanted you to know that he will be remembered fondly.

I have been singing with Carl for fourty some years at the Utica Maennerchor Verein, but his great voice sounded never better than when we shared a bottle of Schwarzburgunder in the German town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
May we all be comforted that Carl is now singing in the heavenly choir , with his sister, Carol and all our fellow-singers who have gone before them.
Our hearts go out to Judy, her family and friends who mourn the loss of this good man. Rest in peace, Carl. Auf Wiedersehen.
