Lewis Joel Moore, Jr departed this life on Thursday March 27, 2024. Born in Utica, NY on July 15, 1977 the child of the late Lewis (Joe Joe) Moore and Therese (Terri) Jeannette Stockton. He was educated in the Utica Public Schools and attended MVCC.

A hard worker. Joe was employed by MG Transportation as a Medicaid Transporter and was requested often by clients because of the special care and kindness he gave.

Joe was an avid sports fan who rooted hardest for the Lakers, Giants and Yankees. He also enjoyed listening to R&B music and loved to dance. He was quite the comedian and loved to make people laugh. He was known to bake great cakes and was famous for his spaghetti dinners. More than all of that he loved his family.

A Father. The benefactors of his unselfish love and left to cherish his memory are his children Grace Emily, Antonio (Moore) Cooper, Nevaeh Evelyn Linen (bonus daughter), Keyarra Mea Moore and Lewis Joel Moore, III.

A Brother. He was predeceased by his brother Gregory Lamont Moore but grieving for him are his sisters Sheena Marie Engram of Utica, Deloris Warren-Moore of Syracuse and Octavia Moore and brother DeAndre Levar Moore of Charlotte.

A family man. Family was important to Joe and he will always be loved and remembered by his aunts and uncles. MaryAnn Stockton (also his Godmother), Jodi Stockton (dec.) , William J. Stockton, III (dec.) Joseph Marcel (Dawn) Stockton, Micheal P. (Irene) Stockton, Christopher R. Stockton, Brenda Joyce (Ellis) Moreland, Jessie D. Moore(dec.), Charmell Linder (dec.) Arthur J. Moore (dec.) Leola M. Jones (dec.) Gail A. Moore (dec.) Carolyn Bivens, Jamie (John) Burke, and Joyce Moore-Dawson. He also enjoyed time with his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Friend. Special friends include Crystal Fullington and Frankie Cornacchia.

His cousins: Jaymee Rae Guay, Pat Boyd and Claude Woody, Jr.

The service will be on Thursday, April 4, at 2:00 pm at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 1123 Court St., Utica.
